Argentine Court Orders Businessman to Report His Location

Buenos Aires, December 23 (NA) – The Justice has ordered businessman Marcelo Porcel, accused of alleged abuses against schoolmates of one of his children, for not having notified that he returned earlier than planned to Argentina. As reported earlier by the Argentine News Agency, Porcel traveled on December 17 with his family with authorization from the Justice to stay in Punta del Este until January 5, 2026, for his niece's wedding and to spend the holidays there. Despite this unexpected return to avoid even greater social condemnation, the businessman should have informed the authorities that he decided to come back earlier, and now the Justice wants to know where he is. Faced with this situation, the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 50, led by Judge Carlos Bruniard, decided to order him to report where he is currently living to remain subject to the process against him. It was reported that if this does not happen, he is infringing on one more rule, and he could be arrested. The case began in mid-2024 but came to light in recent days, so the movements in the investigation also became known, highlighting the raids, electronic device examinations, and restraining orders against the victims. This angered the complainants, which is why they made the case public. This led Porcel to secretly decide to return to the country earlier than expected. This happened two days later, on December 19, when he took flight AR 1357.
